The 26th president of Liberia, who was sworn in on January 22, 2024, based on the 2023 presidential election in a close run-off against the then incumbent president George Weah, marking the second peaceful transfer of power in Liberia since 1944, Joseph Boakai delivered his presented his administrative and Legislative agenda in an address to the nation by and through the people representatives on today, January 29, 2024.


The speech reflects on the challenges and opportunities facing Liberia, a country that has suffered from civil wars, poverty, corruption, and underdevelopment.



He also reports on the state of the economy, which he describes as a cause for concern, and proposes some reforms and initiatives to boost growth, job creation, and poverty reduction. He emphasizes the need for unity, transformation, and hope among the Liberian people.
