A preacher at a revival in Philadelphia has called on the Christian community to pray for America, as he has had several dreams about the sins of the country and its people that could have negative consequences for the nation and the world.
Reverend Dr. Francis Tablah, who is a guest preacher along with his wife at a one-week revival program at the Overbrook Assembly of God church, said that prayer for America is necessary at this time, citing the biblical verse that says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
Reverend Tablah, who is the founder and senior pastor of the Ebenezer Community Church in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota23, did not explain his dreams, but preached from Psalm 128:1-6 and reminded the Overbrook Assembly’s congregation that God can bless anyone and the nation in three ways if they fear the Lord and walk in His ways. He said that God can directly bless, indirectly bless, or provide a bonus or a double portion of blessings for those who fear God and walk in His ways.
He further emphasized that God would bless everyone who fears the Lord and walks in His ways.
In a very strong expression, he carefully repeated that those who fear God and walk in His ways will enjoy the fruits of their labor, by being happy and prosperous.
Preaching with excitement, he added that God, being the creator who never lies, has a second way of indirect blessing for anyone who fears and walks in His ways. He said that their spouses will be fruitful vines that bring joy and abundance to their households, and that they will also receive a bonus of blessing upon their children and grandchildren. “They will be like olive plants that grow and flourish around their tables. And they will live long enough to see their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.” Reverend Dr. Tablah concluded.
For his part, the host pastor, Reverend Kwaku Owusu-Boachie, on behalf of his wife and the whole church said, they were excited to have the guest preacher and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Tablah to have jointly agreed to visited and were sharing the words of God in this time of the revival. He added that the Church's theme, "The year of increase," he believed that God would increase more people this year, only if they fear the Lord and walk in his ways.
